Building a Poultry Industry

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un was in the news inspecting a new chicken farm and calling for improvements to an outdated poultry industry. Efficient poultry production involves processes and feed. The former may be easier than the latter given that country’s climate and geography, though that is not absolute. Amongst the exporters of surplus chicken meat, China and the U.S. tend to utilize more total corn and soymeal. Brazil is the largest poultry exporter and uses relatively less total corn and soymeal.
