Export Sales

Export Sales and Shipments for March 22-28, 2024. Wheat:  Net sales of 16,100 metric tons (MT) for 2023/2024 were down 95 percent from the previous week and 89 percent from the prior 4-week average. Export shipments of 517,800 MT were up 27 percent from the previous week and from the prior 4-week average. The destinations were primarily to China (268,300 MT), Thailand (80,700 MT), the Philippines (36,700 MT), Mexico (36,200 MT), and Algeria (33,500 MT). Corn:  Net sales of 948,000 MT for 2023/2024 were down 21 percent from the previous week and from the prior 4-week average. WPI’s team was retained by the governing board of a U.S. industry organization to review a decision, reached by vote, to invest significant assets into the development and management of an export trading company. WPI’s team conducted a formal review of this decision and concluded that the current level of market saturation would limit the benefits of the investment.
