Regional Updates MEDITERRANEAN/MIDDLE EAST/NORTH AFRICA  An atlas of Global Surface Water has just been published which shows the changes in surface water supply in the last 35 years – more than 4 million satellite images were analyzed along with data from the Google Earth platform. The atlas does show a decrease in surface water in many areas much of which seems to be due to the use of water resources for crop irrigation. In some countries, major lakes from 35 years ago have totally disappeared. Infrastructure investment due diligence

On behalf of a Canadian oilseed processer WPI's team provided market analysis, econometric modeling and financial due diligence in support of a $24 million-dollar investment in a Ukrainian crush plant. Consistent with WPI's findings, local production to supply the plant and the facility's output have expanded exponentially since the investment. WPI has conducted parallel work on behalf of U.S., South American and European clients, both private and public, in the agri-food space.
