Regional Updates MEDITERRANEAN/MIDDLE EAST/NORTH AFRICA  Algeria is expected to receive a shipment of 28,000 MT of Russian wheat – the first in at least four years. Bangladesh reportedly signed a government-to-government arrangement with Russia for the supply of 200,000 MT of wheat. It also announced that a further 300,000 MT of wheat will be bought under an international tender. The Russian arrangement and the wheat tender now have to be approved by the Bangladesh Cabinet Committee on Public Purchase before becoming valid. The Bank of Punjab in Pakistan is now issuing electronic warehouse receipts for maize stored at approved facilities.
