India Trade The Ministry of Commerce and Industry is reporting that progress is being made in trade negotiations with the U.S. and details could be forthcoming within a couple of weeks.   In fact, India is stepping up their trade agenda across the board. India moved this week on a trade agreement with Finland, as well as reviewing agreements with Japan and Korea. The Korean negotiations began three years ago and are now being fast tracked. Further, a joint working group has been formed to identify issues for a potential Japan agreement. Talks may soon start with the EU. Weighing in on strategic realignment

WPI’s team was retained by the governing board of a U.S. industry organization to review a decision, reached by vote, to invest significant assets into the development and management of an export trading company. WPI’s team conducted a formal review of this decision and concluded that the current level of market saturation would limit the benefits of the investment. Based on WPI’s analysis and recommended actions, the board subsequently reversed its decision and undertook a strategic planning effort to identify more impactful investments.
