Policymakers Back to Work with 17 Days Until End of Fiscal Year

Fiscal year 2021 ends 30 September. There is much work still to be done including funding the government past 1 October, extending key authorizations that are due to lapse, and potentially dealing with the debt limit. All of this while simultaneously trying to cobble together and gain support for the final budget reconciliation package.    The Senate returned today from their August recess, while the House will be back next week.
